1990 (Junior)
Greg Koellner earned a varsity letter for the Huskers after appearing in nine regular-season games as a junior in 1990. The 6-3, 280-pound middle guard from Haxtun, Colo., recorded 12 tackles, including seven solo stops on the season. He registered three tackles for loss (11 yards) and forced two fumbles for the Big Red defense that ranked seventh nationally in both scoring defense (13.4 ppg) and total defense (263.5 ypg). Koellner helped the Huskers earn a trip to the 1991 Florida Citrus Bowl to face Georgia Tech.

1989 (Sophomore)
A non-lettered reserve, Koellner saw action in four games, recording four tackles and a quarterback hurry. He helped the Huskers earn a trip to the 1990 Sunkist Fiesta Bowl to face Florida State. He also volunteered for duty on the Husker JV team, where he registered eight tackles, including two TFLs for nine yards.

1988 (Redshirt)
Koellner redshirted in his second season at Nebraska.

1987 (Freshman)
A walk-on, Koellner was the alternate middle guard behind Pat Engelbert on Coach Shane Thorell’s NU junior varsity team. Koellner totaled 15 tackles, including two sacks for 22 yards.

Haxtun High School
In addition to starring on the football field for Haxtun High School, Koellner won back-to-back Class A heavyweight wrestling titles in 1986 and 1987.

Personal
The son of Mike and Laurine Koellner, Greg was a general studies major at Nebraska. He is long-time business owner in Imperial, Neb.
