1987 (Senior)
Jeff Jamrog moved to defensive right end for his senior season. He started for the Huskers despite missing all of spring ball with a pulled hamstring. Jamrog recorded 43 tackles, 38 unassisted and five tackles for losses of 23 yards with one interception. Off the field, Jamrog earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors and academic All-Big Eight recognition.
1986 (Junior)
Jamrog played as the alternate defensive left end behind All-Big Eight performer Broderick Thomas. Jamrog recorded 22 tackles, 18 of them unassisted and seven for losses totaling 65 yards. Jamrog was named the Huskers' defensive player-of-the-week after the Kansas game, when he recovered a Jayhawk fumble and recorded three tackles, two for losses totaling 26 yards, including a 13-yard sack.
1985 (Sophomore)
Jamrog lettered as a reserve defensive end his sophomore year. He appeared in six games and was credited with one tackle - a five-yard sack against Kansas State.
1984 (Redshirt)
Jamrog redshirted in his second season at Nebraska in 1984.
1983 (Freshman)
As a walk-on, Jamrog was one of the leading tacklers on the Husker freshman team. He played most of the season as an alternate behind Brad Tyrer at defensive left end. Jamrog finished with 20 stops, including six unassisted, four of them for losses totaling 16 yards. He also had a fumble recovery and broke up a pass.
Before Nebraska (Elkhorn Mt. Michael HS)
Jamrog led Mt. Michael to the Class B state championships in football and basketball his senior year. He was an all-class, all-state pick in football and Class B all-state in basketball. He also lettered in track and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
Jeff is the son of Jerry and Marlene Jamrog and has three older sisters. He was born in Omaha, Neb., on Jan. 4, 1965.
