1986 (Senior)
Holloway appeared in every game as a senior. He totaled 43 tackles, 29 of which were unassisted and recorded two sacks. Holloway was third in tackles for loss for the Huskers with 10 for 23 yards and he recorded one fumble recovery. He helped the Huskers to the 1987 Sugar Bowl, where Nebraska defeated the LSU Tigers, 30-15.
1985 (Junior)
An alternate behind Gregg Reeves and a part-time starter as a junior. Holloway appeared in nine regular season games recording 20 tackles, including four tackles for loss. He also recorded two unassisted tackles against Michigan in the 1986 Sunkist Fiesta Bowl both for losses totaling 23 yards. Tony did miss two games (Colorado and Kansas State) with a bruised kneecap. He was named Big Eight defensive-player-of-the-week against New Mexico in which he had nine tackles, including three sacks for 21 yards in losses.
1984 (Redshirt)
Holloway redshirted his third season as a Husker as he switched from linebacker to defensive end.
1983 (Sophomore)
Tony earned his first varsity letter as a sophomore where he finished the season with 12 tackles, eight of which were undefeated.
1982 (Freshman)
Holloway was an alternate linebacker on the Huskers undefeated (5-0) freshman team that fall.
Bellevue West High School
Holloway was an All-metro Omaha and all-state for Coach Jerry Van Waart. He also lettered once on track.
Personal
Born in April 1964 in Puerto Rico, he is the son of Wardell and Frances Holloway. He is a computer science major.
