1986 (Senior)
Parsons finished his career as Nebraska's second leading tackler during the 1986 season (72 tackles, 44 unassisted, 28 assisted and one tackle for loss), just behind fourth round draft pick Marc Munford. Parsons standout senior season helped the Huskers to a 10-2 record and an appearance in the 1987 Sugar Bowl, where Nebraska defeated the LSU Tigers, 30-15.
1985 (Junior)
Parsons was the Huskers third linebacker behind Munford and KNox but Parsons still played a great deal and ended up as the team’s fourth-leading tackler with 48 regular season stops(29 unassisted, two tackles for loss and broke up three passes and recovered a fumble). Parsons started three games when Munford was injured and in those three games, he had nebraskas’s top three individual tackle totals during the 1985 season. He filled in for Munford against Mizzuri where he had a career-high 14 stops, he also recovered a Mizzou fumble. Parsons moved into the starting lineup against Oklahoma where he finished with 13 tackles, 10 of which were unassisted, and in the Sunkist Fiesta Bowl against Michigan he again had 13 total tackles.
1984 (Sophomore)
Parsons was a key reserve and played in all 11 games, recording 12 tackles and breaking up three passes. Parsons helped the ‘84 Huskers to a 10-2 record and a 28-10 victory in the Sugar Bowl against the LSU Tigers.
1983 (Freshman)
Parsons started for the Huskers freshman team, but was called up to the varsity often enough and saw enough playing time to earn a letter as a freshman.
Springfield Glendale High School
Parsons was an All-state and honorable- mention All-American as both a linebacker and tailback for Coach Bob Price. He rushed for 2,800 yards in his career with a game high of 243 yards, he also recorded 110 tackles as a senior. Kevin also lettered in basketball and track.

Kevin was a philosophy major, he is the son of Norman Parsons and Judy Mears, Born in December of 1964.
