1986 (Senior)
As a senior, Cleo appeared in nine games and contributed on both defense and special teams. He recorded six tackles, intercepted one pass, broke up another, and blocked a kick. Miller helped the Huskers to a 10-2 record and an appearance in the 1987 Sugar Bowl, where Nebraska defeated the LSU Tigers, 30-15.
1985 (Junior)
Miller was a key reserve for the Huskers secondary, playing both right and left corner. He finished the season with 23 tackles, 17 unassisted, broke up three passes and recovered a fumble. Cleo helped the Huskers to a 9-3 record and a 1986 Sunkist Fiesta Bowl appearance against Michigan.
Taft Junior College (California)
Cleo was a first-team all-conference selection and honorable-mention All-American for Coach Al Boldock. He was named the most valuable player in Taft’s 51-27 win over Pierce Junior College in the Potato Bowl, he also led Taft to a 9-1 record as a freshman and a 10-2 record as a sophomore.
Dallas Lincoln High School
Miller was a two-time all-district pick for Coach William Stell. He also starred in track where he ran on the 1983 Texas state champion mile relay team.
Personal
Cleo majored in marketing. He was born in Dallas Texas and is the son of Cleophus and Francis Miller.
