1982 (Sophomore)
One of the few non-redshirting sophomores, Strasburger finished the year with 31 tackles and six sacks behind All-Big Eight defensive end Tony Felici, who Strasburger bumped from the starting lineup for the Orange Bowl against LSU.  He clinched the 28-24 win against Oklahoma and the Big Eight championship with an interception late in the fourth quarter that he returned 22 yards to the OU one in the final 30 seconds of the game.

1981 (Freshman)
A walk-on at the start of the season, Strasburger made a name for himself as the starting right defensive end for the 5-0 freshman squad.
