Phil Righetti

1971 (Junior)
Phil was back up to Daryl White at left tackle his Junior year. Righetti helped the Huskers ground game produce 3,100 yards, good for third in the conference at 258.3 yards per game. Overall, the Husker offense averaged 437.7 yards and 39.1 points per game, ranking second in the Big Eight in both categories behind only Oklahoma. Nebraska finished with an undefeated record (13-0) and beat Alabama 38-6, in the National Championship game.

Phil threw shot for Nebraska Track and Field under Coach Frank Sevigne. His top effort was 53-7 ½.
