1966 (Senior)

Senkbeil was the starting linebacker for the Cornhuskers. He was an outstanding conference linebacker that earned All Big Eight first team honors. Lynn led the linebacking crew with 82 tackles, with 37 of them being unassisted, two fumble recoveries, one pass intercepted, with three pass break ups. Senkbeil was a part of the Nebraska team that lost in the 1967 Sugar bowl against Bear Bryant’s Alabama, 7-34. 

1965 (Junior)

Lynn first year at left linebacker for NU. Senkbeil has an incredible junior year performance that those will remember. Lynn clocked 68 tackles with 28 of them being unassisted and three pass break ups. Senkbeil helped the Huskers to a 10-1 overall record, a Big Eight title and a trip to the 1966 Orange Bowl against Bear Bryant's Alabama squad. NU fell 39-28 to the Crimson Tide, but finished the season ranked No. 3 in the final national polls. 

1964 (Sophomore)

Lynn was a reserved right guard for the Huskers. Barely saw any action due to two upperclassmen being ahead of him. Saw some little game time in the Cotton bowl loss against Arkansas 7-10.

1963 (Freshman)

Senkbeil played on the Frosh team in 1962. Senkbeil would drop out of school before enrolling at NU. Played right guard for most of his snaps on the frosh team.

Son of Arthur Senkbeil, Lynn Senkbeil was born in Salina, Kan.
