Before Nebraska (Elkhorn South HS)
Hoskinson joined the Nebraska program after a standout career at Elkhorn South High School. Hoskinson played both ways for the Storm, working on the offensive line primarily at center. On defense, he was a linebacker for Elkhorn South and his play helped the Storm to a 10-2 record in 2020 and a Class A state runner-up finish. Hoskinson also helped Elkhorn South to a 7-4 record and a Class A playoff appearance in 2019. Hoskinson’s blocking helped a powerful Storm rushing attack that averaged better than 275 yards per game. Hoskinson also excelled in baseball for Elkhorn South.
Personal
Sam was born on Feb. 5, 2003, and he is the son of Matt and Jaime Hoskinson. Sam is majoring in business administration. He has volunteered his time with the Nebraska Football Road Race, and Operation Christmas Child. Sam's father Matt was a three-year letterwinner on the offensive line (1995-96-97) and a member of three Nebraska national championship teams.
