Xander Ruggeroli has played in one game as a true freshman. He made his Nebraska debut against UTEP.
Before Nebraska (Bishop Gorman HS)
Ruggeroli came to Nebraska from one of the nation’s top prep programs, Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas coached by Brent Browner. As a senior, Ruggeroli helped the Gaels to an undefeated season, a state championship and a No. 1 national ranking. He won three state championships in his career.
Bishop Gorman averaged 431 yards of offense per game in Ruggeroli’s senior season while scoring 47.6 points per game. The Gaels were also state champions in Ruggeroli’s junior campaign when the offensive line helped Bishop Gorman average nearly 470 yards and 53 points per game. The Gaels were also state champions in Ruggeroli’s sophomore season.
Ruggeroli was regarded as a four-star prospect by ESPN, which ranked him as the No. 3 recruit in Nevada and among the top 40 offensive tackles in the country.
