1982 (Senior)
Brown started at split end for three consecutive seasons and was a rare four year letterman. Playing for a run-oriented team in 1982, Brown caught at least one pass in each game and finished as the Huskers’ second-leading receiver behind Irving Fryar with 23, but his 399 yards and four touchdown receptions led the team. Todd finished his career with 65 career catches for 1,092 yards and 12 touchdowns. Including 1982 and 1983 Orange Bowls, Brown caught passes in his last 17 games, 23 catches in the last two seasons. 

1981 (Junior)
He was the Huskers’ No. 3 receiver with 14 catches for 277 yards and three touchdowns. Todd played a crucial role in Nebraska’s 6-0 win at Missouri when he caught two passes from Turner Gill for 45 yards, both of them coming in the Husker’s winning drive in the closing minutes. Todd's top receiving game during the 1981 season was a two-catch, 83 yard performance in Nebraska’s 59-0 win over Colorado, both catches were good for touchdowns. 

1980 (Sophomore)
Brown led Nebraska in receiving and was fourth in the Big Eight when he caught 28 passes for 416 yards and five touchdowns. Todd's top game came against Florida State, when he earned Nebraska’s offensive player-of-the-game honors for catching four passes for 51 yards and two touchdowns in the Huskers’ 18-14 loss to the Seminoles. Against Mississippi State in the Sun Bowl, Todd caught two passes for 16 yards and ran 23 yards for Nebraska’s first touchdown in its 31-17 win. 

1979 (Freshman)
Brown came to Nebraska on a track scholarship in 1978 but switched to football and lettered as a reserve as a second-year freshman in 1979.

Holdrege High School
Under Coach Ted Mills, Brown earned all-state and all-conference honors as a tailback and wingback. He was also a track standout as he won the Class B long jump, triple jump and 100 yard dash titles as a senior in 1978.

Personal
Todd was a construction management major and is the son of Jim and Millie Brown. Brown was a sixth-round draft choice of the Detroit Lions, Brown signed instead with Montreal of the CFL. As a rookie, he recorded 50 receptions for 731 yards and two touchdowns. On July 21, 1986, he signed with the Detroit Lions but was released before the start of the season.
