1979 (Senior)
Tim was the Huskers No. 2 alternate fullback. He gained 221 yards on 44 carries and scored three times. He helped Nebraska to a 10-2 finish and a Cotton Bowl appearance against Houston in 1979.
1978 (Junior)
Wurth started the season as the Huskers No.3 fullback, despite this he was the Huskers No. 4 rusher while being hurt for the better part of the season. He suffered a stretch injury to the nerves in his neck and was sidelined after starting the Iowa State game, He finished the game with 102 yards. He ended the season with 374 yards on 55 carries, with an average of 6.8. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.
1977 (Sophomore)
Tim saw limited action as a sophomore, carrying the ball 30 timesfor 172 yards and a 5.7 average. Tim helped the Huskers finish with a 9-3 record and a Liberty Bowl win against North Carolina, 21-17.
1976 (Freshman)
Tim played with the 1976 freshman I-Back.
Omaha Burke High School
Tim was a two time All-State running back at Omaha Burke for Coach Larry Jacobsen. Tim was majoring in arts and sciences and is the son of Myron and Doris Wurth.
