• 1982 Academic All-Big Eight 

1982 (Senior)
Holbrook saw playing time as a back up behind Kris Van Norman at monster. His best day as a senior came against Oklahoma State when he was in on three tackles, including a 16-yard sack that halted an OSU drive. Tim also picked off two passes in 1982, returned one for 23 yards vs. New Mexico State. 

1981 (Junior)
Tim played very well as a reserve letterman for the Big Eight champs, and was credited with nine tackles, five of them unassisted, two of them quarterback sacks for 33 yards in losses. Holbrook also combined with defensive tackle Doug Herrmann to record a safety at Oklahoma State. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the 1982 Orange Bowl-National Championship game against Clemson.

1980 (Sophomore)
The high point of Tim's career came in 1980 in the Huskers’ 55-8 win over Kansas State when he intercepted a pass and returned it 64-yards at the time it was the longest non-scoring pass interception return in Nebraska History. He finished the season with one tackle and one interception. Nebraska finished the 1980 season with a 10-2 record and a 31-17 Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State.

1979 (Redshirt)
Tim redshirted his second season as a Husker. 

1978 (Freshman)
Tim walked on in 1978 and played for the Huskers undefeated (5-0) freshman team. 

Lexington High School
Holbrook played halfback, linebacker and punted for Coach Dennis Thorell. He earned honorable-mention all-state and first-team all-conference honors.

Personal
Tim was a business administration major and is the son of Gene Holbrook.
