Tikey Hayes Season 2026

Tikey Hayes spent one season at Penn State before transferring to Nebraska. Hayes played in one game for the Nittany Lions in 2025, recording three carries for 18 yards in Penn State's 22-10 win over Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl.

 

Prior to Penn State, Hayes starred at Aliquippa High School, where he rushed for nearly 7,000 yards in his career. A four-year letterwinner and two-time team captain, Hayes helped the Indians to a pair of state titles. He was a four-time all-state selection and four-time first-team all-conference pick.

 

Hayes rushed for 1,022 yards and 17 touchdowns on only 97 carries as a senior, averaging 10.5 yards per carry. In his junior campaign, Hayes ran for 2,239 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also had a 2,000-yard rushing season as a sophomore, finishing with 2,011 yards and 33 touchdowns. Hayes rushed for 1,723 yards and 23 touchdowns as a freshman.

 

Hayes was regarded as a four-star prospect by Rivals, who ranked him as the No. 20 running back in the nation.

 

Tikey is the son of Tiqwai Hayes Sr. and Sheraz Lay. Tikey's full name is Tiqwai De'Vay Hayes Jr.
