Terry Luck Season 1975

1975 (Senior)

Teamed with Vince Ferragamo to lead the Huskers to a 10-2 record and a 1975 co-Big Eight football championship. Luck was a part time starter, managing to complete 59 0f 105 passes for 644 yards and six touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown.

1974 (Junior)

Terry had a slow junior year before stepping into the Husker spotlight in the final quarter of the 1974 Sugar Bowl Game. With the Huskers trailing in the Sugar Bowl, 10-0 in the fourth quarter against Florida, Terry took over on the one-yard line and drove the Big Red 99 yards to score. He was also at the helm for two field goals, including the game-winner in the final seconds.

1973 (Sophomore)

Luck would see very minimal game time only holding kicks. Terry would later a knee injury and undergo three operations

1972 (Freshman)

The starting frosh quarterback at NU. Luck would lead the frosh team to be unbeaten. Terry completed 31 of 61 passes for 514 yards and five touchdowns, and only two interceptions thrown as a freshman. The 6-3 215-pound quarterback would also rush for 120 yards and handle kicking chores for the team. 

Personal

Son of Grace Nance, Terry Luck was born on Dec. 14, 1953, in Fayetteville, N.C. Terry would attend NU as a physical education major. Singed by the Cleveland Browns as a free agent in 1976. Started breifly in the 1977 season for the Browns, throwing one touchdown.
