1980 (Senior)
Davies was Nebraska’s alternate tight end, playing behind Jeff Finn. He caught four passes for 49 yards. Steve was a three year letterman and a fine Husker special teams player.
1979 (Junior)
Steve lettered as a reserve tight end. He recorded one reception for 19 yards. Nebraska finished the season with a 10-2 record and an appearance in the Cotton Bowl against Houston.
1978 (Sophomore)
Davies caught one pass as a sophomore. He earned his first letter as a reserve tight end. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.
1977 (Redshirt)
Davies missed the 1977 season due to a knee injury and redshirted the season.
1976 (Freshman)
Steve played with the 1977 undefeated Husker team.
Murray High School (Utah)
Steve was recruited as a full back before converting to a tight end. Davies was an All-State performer at fullback for Ron Havn at Murray High School. Steve was majoring in meteorology and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Howard.
