Career Summary
Raridon was a 3 time letter winner for the Huskers, and started at offensive tackle his senior season earning All-Big Eight honors.  Raridon used his surprising quickness to his advantage on the Huskers' counter sweeps, which called for him to pull and lead the play around the end.  

1983 (Senior)
Raridon earned All-Big Eight honors his senior season after being a backup his sophomore and junior years to all Big-Eight selections (Dan Hurley, Randy Theiss). Powerful and quick, Raridon was a key reason why the Huskers lead the nation in rushing (401.7 yards per game) and scoring (52).  

1982 (Junior)
Raridon was a backup at Offensive Tackle to All-Big Eight selection Randy Theiss. Raridon played an important role for the 1982 offense which led the nation in rushing offense (394.3 yards-per-game, scoring (41.1 points-per-game, and total offense (518.6 yards-per-game).  

1981 (Sophomore)
Raridon backed up an All-Big Eight selecton, Dan Hurley in 1981. Raridon earned his first letter for the Huskers his sophomore year. 

1980 (Redshirt Freshman)
Raridon redshirted in 1980.  

1979 (Freshman)
Raridon started for the 1979 Husker freshman team on the offensive line.  

Mason City HS
At Mason City High School, Raridon was a honorable-mention All-American and first-team all-state, all-conference selection for Coach Barry Alvarez, former Husker linebacker star. Raridon helped lead Mason City to an Iowa State Title in 1978.

Scott is the son of Ronald and Cindy Phelps, and was born Feb. 22, 1961, at Newton, Iowa.
