  • 1980 Honorable Mention Academic All-Big Eight 

1980 (Senior)
In 1980, Scott was the Huskers No. 1 punter. He averaged 37.1 yards a punt and had a long punt of 56 yards against Penn State on national television. As a senior, he was an Honorable Mention Academic All-Big Eight. Scott helped the Huskers to a 31-17 win in the Sun Bowl over Mississippi State and a 10-2 record overall.

1979 (Junior)
Scott was an alternate behind All-Big Eight performer Tim Smith. Despite this he still punted twice for 64 yards. Gemar helped Nebraska to a 10-2 finish in 1979.

1978 (Sophomore)
Gemar was a sophomore reserve. 

1977 (Redshirt)
Scott redshirted his second season at Nebraska. 

1976 (Freshman)
Scott walked on and played for the 1976 Nebraska freshman team

Sutton High School
Scott was an All-Conference football and basketball player. He was an agricultural major and is the son of Max and Val Gemar.
