Pete Tatman Season 1966

1966 (Senior)
Tatman was the starting fullback for the Huskers in 1966. He was a key blocker for Harry Wilson and Ben Gregory during his senior season. Pete would also rush the ball 107 times with a gain of 418 yards and three touchdowns. Pete also had one catch for 11 yards. His best game was against Missouri where he rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown. He would also have one rush for four yards in the 1966 Orange Bowl against Bear Bryant's Alabama squad. NU fell 39-28 to the Crimson Tide, but finished the season ranked No. 3 in the final national polls. 

1965 (Junior)
Tatman was an  alternating fullback with Frank Solich for the Huskers. Being the primary lead block for the Nebraska rushing attack. Tatman was also a rushing threat himself, rushing the ball 50 times and gaining 207 yards with six touchdowns, which was second on the team tied with Solich. Tatman also caught three passes for 54 yards. Tatman would assist in Nebraska rushing for 2900 yards on the season which was a Nebraska record during the 1965 season. 

1964 (Sophomore)
Tatman would have limited playing time with Solich taking most of the snaps at fullback for the Huskers offense. However Tatman would play on the defense for some games for the Huskers as well. Pete recorded 24 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Tatman also recorded five tackles for the team as well. 

1963 (Freshman)
Tatman played on the 1963 Nebraska’s frosh team. Playing primarily was the teams fullback. Tatman averaged 6.5 yards in two games. Pete would even score on a 12-yard run against Kent State.

Son of Cloyd A Tatman, Pete Tatman was born on April, 27, 1945 in North Platte, Nebraska. Pete enrolled at NU as a business administration major.
