Memorial Stadium

1985 (Senior)
Miles finished his senior season as the Huskers third leading rusher, finishing the season with just under 700 yards (689) on 102 carries. Miles was tied for third in touchdowns with 5. Miles helped the Huskers to an impressive 374.3 rushing yards per game. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the 1986 Fiesta Bowl against Michigan. 

1984 (Junior)
Miles was Nebraska’s No. 2 I-back behind Jeff Smith, Miles was expected to see plenty of playing time but he suffered a dislocated shoulder at Syracuse and was knocked out for the season and eventually had surgery in December. 

1983 (Sophomore)
Nebraska’s No. 3 I-back behind Heisman Trophy winner Mike Rozier and Jeff Smith. Despite this Miles still received 29 carries for 281 yards and three touchdowns, Miles broke off a 72 yard touchdown run against Syracuse, marking the longest touchdown run by any Husker during the 1983 season. 

1982 (Redshirt)
Miles redshirted his second season as a Husker. 

1981 (Freshman)
Paul was plagued by injuries that fall and carried only 16 times for 61 yards for the freshman team. 

Princeton High School
Miles was an All-American and all-state running back for Coach Jim Beachell at Princeton High School. Where he rushed for 1,341 yards and 17 touchdowns, as a junior he rushed for 1,365 yards and scored 24 touchdowns. He also lettered in basketball, track and earned all-state honors in the 100 and 200 meter dash.

Paul was a speech communications major and is the son of Alice Miles.
