1982 (Senior)
Krenk played a vital role in Husker Fortunes in 1982, his only start was at Hawaii, but he split-time with starter Jamie Williams. Mitch came back from off-season surgery and finished fifth in receiving on a run-oriented team with nine catches for 124 yards, including a spectacular finger-tip grab of 37-yards from wingback Irving Fryar to set up a go-ahead touchdown in the Huskers' 28-24 Big Eight title clinching win over Oklahoma.
1981 (Junior)
Krenk came into his own late in his junior season when All-Big Eight pick Jamie Williams was hampered by a knee strain. Krenk was Nebraska's leading receiver in the 54-7 win at Oklahoma State and in the 37-14 win at Oklahoma. The former walk-on caught four passes for 53 yards and a nine yard touchdown vs. the Cowboys, then nabbed three for 35 yards and a six yard touchdown against the Sooners. Krenk finished the season as the Huskers No. 5 receiver with nine catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns.
1980 (Sophomore)
Krenk was a non-letter winner during his sophomore year. Nebraska finished the 1980 season with a 10-2 record and a 31-17 Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State.

Krenk redshirted his second season as a Husker
1978 (Freshman)
Krenk played as an alternate tight end for the undefeated Nebraska freshman team but did not catch a pass.
Nebraska City High School
Mitch was all-conference and honorable-mention all-state for Coach Loyd Maskell, where he was also all-conference in basketball and lettered in both track and wrestling.
Personal
Mitch was a speech communication major, he is the son of Ray and Sally Noyes. Mitch played three years in the NFL as an undrafted free agent for the Seattle Seahawks (1983), Dallas Cowboys (1984) and Chicago Bears (1984-1985). Mitch only saw regular season action as a Bear. During the 1984 season he recorded two catches for 31 yards. Mitch earned a Super Bowl ring (Super Bowl XX) while on the Bears despite being placed on injury reserve.
