1980 (Senior)
Bruce was the Huskers’ alternate right tackle, behind Dan Hurley. Mike earned his first varsity letter as a senior.
1979 (Junior)
Mike saw limited action as a junior. Nebraska finished the season with a 10-2 record and an appearance in the Cotton Bowl against Houston.
1978 (Sophomore)
Mike was a non letter winner as a sophomore. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.
1977 (Redshirt)
Mike redshirted his second season as a Husker.
1976 (Freshman)
Bruce played with the 1977 freshman team.
Omaha Burke High School
Bruce was an All State and All Metro offensive and defensive tackle under Coach Larry Jacobson. He also lettered in basketball and track. He was majorign in education and is the son of Richard and Pat Bruce.
