1987 (Senior)
Heibel completed his senior season with 356 yards and four touchdowns on 64 carries. He finished his senior year with academic honors.

1986 (Junior)
Heibel was the fifth leading rusher for Nebraska as a junior. He picked up 303 yards and two TD's on 54 carries. Heibel ran for a career-high with 72 yards on 16 carries against OSU. He lost yardage only once, and only for one yard.

1985 (Sophomore)
Listed as third spring fullback, Heibel carried the ball twice for five yards.

1984 (Redshirt)
Heibel practiced with the Huskers while redshirting. He had a solid spring in 1985 and entered camp as third string fullback.

1983 (Freshman)
Heibel was recruited as a linebacker, but switched to fullback when he arrived on campus. He started on the freshman team and rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns. His freshman team went 5-0 that season.

Before Nebraska (Pius X HS)
In high school, Heibel played fullback and linebacker. His senior year he was awarded Parade All-American, all-state and Nebraska defensive player-of-the-year. Heibel also lettered three times in basketball, twice in track and once baseball for the thunderbolts. He also played trombone in the Pius X concert and jazz bands.

Personal
Heibel is the son of Daniel and Marjorie Heibel and has two brothers. He was born on Sept. 1, 1965 in Clay Center, Kan. Heibel was a mathematics major.
