1979 (Senior)
Mark was the Huskers No. 1 left tackle in 1979. He earned second team All-American and All-Big Eight honors. Goodspeed was a key factor to the Huskers rushing attack, helping them to 327.3 yards per game. Mark helped Nebraska to a 10-2 finish and a Cotton Bowl appearance against Houston in 1979. 

1978 (Junior)
In 1978, Goodspeed was sidelined with a ruptured disc. He then traveled to Canada for special treatment involving enzyme injections into the injured vertebra. 

Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.

1977 (Sophomore)
Mark was a reserve lineman for the Huskers, helping them finish with a 9-3 record and an Liberty Bowl win against North Carolina, 21-17. 

1976 (Freshman)
Mark played with the 1976 Husker freshman team.

1975 (Hardship Year)
Goodspeed earned a hardship year as a freshman when he broke his wrist in the first freshman game against Kansas State. 

Rockhurst High School (Leawood, Kan.)
Mark earned All-American honors as a high schooler. He is the son of Jud and Jeanne Goodspeed. Mark was drafted in the 9th round of the 1980 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins.
