Larry Young

1977 (Senior)
Young was a two year letterman as a reserve defensive end in 1977. He made 26 tackles, 13 unassisted and recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown. The Huskers finished with a 9-3 record and a Liberty Bowl win against North Carolina, 21-17.

1976 (Junior)
Larry was a reserve monster his junior year. Larry had 14 total tackles, including nine unassisted and one tackle behind the line of scrimmage for a 10 yard loss. Larry helped Nebraska finish the season with a 9-3-1 record and an Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl win over Texas Tech, 27-24.

1975 (Sophomore)
Young sat out the 1975 season. 

1974 (Redshirt)
Larry redshirted his second season as a Husker. 

1973 (Freshman)
Larry played with the 1973 Husker freshman team. 

Lincoln High School (Jersey City, N.J.)
Larry was teammates of Tony Samuel at Lincoln High School where Larry earned All-American honors as a halfback. Larry and Tony played high school football under Coach Harry Massey. Larry was an elementary Education major and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Winchester Young.
