1977 (Senior)
Spaeth was the second-leading pass receiver as a senior, with 24 receptions, just behind Tim Smith’s 27. He had 312 receiving yards and two touchdowns as a senior. For his efforts he earned Honorable Mention All-American and Second Team All-Big Eight along with a place in the fifth round of the 1978 NFL Draft (Buffalo Bills, 114th Overall). He helped the Huskers finish with a 9-3 record and a Liberty Bowl win against North Carolina, 21-17.

1976 (Junior)
Ken caught 19 passes for 265 yards and four touchdowns, earning him All-Big Eight honors. Ken is a great passing target with good hands and doubles as a fine blocker. Greg helped Nebraska finish the season with a 9-3-1 record and an Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl win over Texas Tech, 27-24.

1975 (Sophomore)
Ken was a reserve letterman in 1975. Ken pulled in one reception for twelve yards his sophomore year. As a sophomore, Spaeth helped the Huskers finish the season with a 10-2 record and a Fiesta Bowl appearance against Arizona State.

1974 (Redshirt)
Ken redshirted his second season as a Husker. 

1973 (Freshman)
Ken was a star performer for the 1973 freshman team. 

Mahnomen High (Mahnomen, Minn.)
Spaeth was a standout player who earned ten varsity letters. Ken earned All-State football honors under Coach Ken Baumann. Ken was majoring in agricultural economics and is the son of Sylvester and Altha Spaeth.
