2006 (Junior)
Jordan Adams completed his <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Nebraska career in the defensive backfield after joing the Husker program as a quarterback before the 2004 campaign. Adams served as a reserve free safety during the 2006 season and was a valuable member of the Huskers’ scout team. He appeared in the home finale against Colorado, after moving to the secondary during spring ball. <?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Adams spent his first two seasons in Lincoln as a backup quarterback. He missed the entire 2004 season after August surgery to remove his spleen, then was a reserve behind Zac Taylor in 2005, but did not see game action. Adams played quarterback at California’s GrossmontCollege before coming to Nebraska after just one season at the school.

Before Nebraska (West Hills HS/Grossmont College)
Adams shared time at quarterback in 2003 for Coach Dave Jordan and Grossmont College, which reached the California state championship game, before losing 38-35 to the City College of San Francisco. Adams had an outstanding title game, coming off the bench to throw for 347 yards and three touchdowns. He started just one game, but set school records for completions (30) and passing yards (531), while throwing for four touchdowns in a victory over Antelope Valley (Calif.) College to close a perfect regular season. Adams finished the year with 1,347 yards and 13 touchdowns, while completing 67 percent of his passes.
As a high school senior, Adams led West Hill to a 9-1 record, and earned Grossmont North first-team all-league honors and second-team All-East County honors. He completed 65 percent of his passes for 2,164 yards and 22 touchdowns. He was also his team's place-kicker and punter as a senior, and made eight field goals. He started four games at quarterback for Coach Steve Sutton as a junior. Adams was the East County league's leading passer as a senior, and was the San Diego Union-Tribune's September 2001 Athlete of the Month. Adams was on the San Diego Union-Tribune 2001-02 All-Academic Team.
Personal
Adams is the son of John and Dawn Adams and was born in San Diego on June 7, 1984. He is majoring in communication studies. He has volunteered as part of Nebraska’s hospital visits and with the Scouts Under Lights Program.
