• Honorable Mention Academic All-Big Eight (1987)

1989 (Senior)
Roschal appeared in nine games as a senior, earning his second letter. He helped the Cornhuskers to a 10–2 record and earn a berth in the Fiesta Bowl against Florida State. As a member of Nebraska’s offensive line, he contributed to an offense that led the Big Eight in rushing offense (375.3 ypg), scoring offense (44.7 ppg), and total offense (513.3 ypg).

1988 (Junior)
Roschal successfully returned from the knee injury that sidelined him in 1987, appearing in seven of the team's 12 regular-season games as a reserve right guard behind Nelson and Bobbora. He also saw action in the Orange Bowl against Miami and earned a varsity letter for the season. 

1987 (Sophomore)
After earning the alternate left guard role behind consensus All-American John McCormick, Roschal suffered a season-ending knee ligament injury in the second game of the year against UCLA. He underwent reconstructive surgery and missed the remainder of the season. 

1986 (Redshirt)
Roschal redshirted his second season as a Husker.

1985 (Freshman)
John started at offensive right guard for Coach Dan Young’s 5-0 freshman team. He helped them average 483 total offensive yards per game including 358 rushing yards per game.

Houston Spring Woods High School
An All-City and All-District selection for Coach Ben Bloomer, Roschal chose Nebraska over Alabama, Oklahoma, Southern Methodist, Arkansas and Minnesota.

John was a Human Development major. He is the son of John and Linda Roschal, born in Oklahoma City, Okla.
