1975 (Senior)

Two-year starter for Nebraska at middle guard, continuing the fine Husker tradition at that position. John led the Nebraska defensive linemen in tackles with 70, including 30 unassisted, 14 of those would be for a loss of 50. Lee would also have two fumble recoveries and one pass breakup. This would earn Lee All-Big Eight honors.

1974 (Junior)

John would be the starting middle guard for the huskers. The 6-1 248-pound middle guard would lead the team in tackles with 97, 47 of those were unassisted. John would also lead the team in sacks with 11.

1973 (Sophomore) 

Lee was a backup behind John Bell. Lee had minimal game time, he was still able to secure 29 tackles with 16 of those being unassisted. He also had five sacks for a loss of 25 yards. John also was able to get past a line and block a kick. 

1972 (Freshman)

John would play for the undefeated frosh team for NU.

Personal

Son of Raymond and Virginia, John Lee was born on Feb. 17, 1953, in Red Bank, N.J. Lee attended NU as a criminal justice major. After NU Lee would be drafted in the 13th round to the San Diego Chargers. Lee would spend four seasons with the Chargers and then play one season with the New England Patriots.
