1980 (Senior)
Adams started for the Huskers at left guard. He helped the Huskers to a 10-2 record and a Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State, 31-17. Adams’ play on the field earned him second team All-Big Eight and a place in the NFl draft. Nebraska finished the season with a Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State (31-17). 

1979 (Junior)
Adams was an alternate letterman at left guard, He earned his first varsity letter during his junior season. Nebraska finished the season with a 10-2 record and an appearance in the Cotton Bowl against Houston.

1978 (Sophomore)
Joe was a sophomore reserve. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.

1977 (Redshirt)
Joe redshirted his second season at Nebraska. 

1976 (Freshman)
Joe came to Nebraska as a linebacker-fullback. He played for the 1976 Husker freshman team. 

Bellevue High School
Adams was an all-state linebacker for Coach Bill James at Bellevue High School. Joe also lettered in basketball, track and baseball. He is the son of David and Rita Adams.
