1980 (Senior)
Jeff was the starting quarterback for all of 1980. He earned second team All-Big Eight honors and was a first team Academic All-Big Eight choice. He was the MVP of the 1980 Sun Bowl game, completing nine of 19 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Quinn finished teh season with 1,337 passing yards, 14 touchdowns on 96 completions. He rushed 108 times for 348 yards and six touchdowns. Nebraska finished the season with a Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State (31-17).

1979 (Junior)
Jeff started the Utah State and Iowa games, but a leg injury cost him the starting role to Tim Hager, however he did return to start the Iowa State, Oklahoma and Cotton Bowl game against Houston. Against Utah State, he rushed for 112 yards on 19 carries and had a long run of 20 yards, it was the first time since the 1964 Orange Bowl game against Auburn that a Husker quarterback had rushed for over 100 yards. His longest pass was 43 yards, against Houston in the Cotton Bowl, Quinn caught a 13 yard pass from I-Back Jarvis Redwine. Quinn's totals for the season were 57 of 110 for 702 yards and five interceptions, and five touchdowns. 

1978 (Sophomore)
Jeff was a reserve quarterback for the 1978 season. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma. 

1977 (Hardship Year)
Quinn was a reserve quarterback when he injured his leg against Baylor which kept him out for the rest of the season. 

1976 (Freshman)
Quinn played for the undefeated freshman team. 

Ord Senior High School
Quinn was All-State football and basketball player for Ord Senior High School, he was coached by Fran Hummel. Jeff was majoring in business administration and is the son of Phil and Lou Ann Quinn.
