1993 (Junior)
Simdorn was a first-time letterwinner during his junior season. He did help the Big Red to an unbeaten regular season and a trip to the 1994 Federal Express Orange Bowl national championship game against Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward and Florida State.
1992 (Sophomore)
Simdorn served as a reserve free safety, but did not see much playing time. He helped Nebraska capture the Big Eight title and earn a spot in the 1993 Federal Express Orange Bowl against Florida State.
1991 (Redshirt)
Simdorn Redshirted his second season as a Husker.
1990(Freshman)
Simdorn started as free safety for the Nebraska freshman team. Helping them to a 4-1 record finishing the season with seven tackles, four of which were solo tackles, and one forced fumble.
Cairo Centura High School
Simborn was a quarterback, safety and a punter for Cairo Centura High School in Cairo. He was an all-state punter in 1989 and 1990, and earned all-state honors as a quarterback in 1990.

Jason is the son of Rene’ Simdorn, He was majoring in criminal justice at Nebraska.
