Before Nebraska (Imhotep Institute/Pitt)
Jahsear Whittington spent two years at Pitt before transferring to Nebraska. He played in 12 games with one start for the Panthers, totaling 13 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and one fumble recovery.
Whittington played in 11 games and started the bowl game for Pitt in 2025. He recorded 11 tackles, 3.5 TFLs and 1.0 sack. Whittington played in three games in 2024, totaling two tackles at Louisville while using his redshirt season.
Whitting was the top defensive tackle prospect in Pennsylvania as a standout for Imhotep Institute. He totaled 62 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and 15 sacks as a senior, when Imhotep went 15-0 and won the Class 5A state championship. An all-state selection as a senior and the Philadelphia Public League Most Valuable Player, Whittington helped Imhotep to three state championship game appearances.
