1981 (Senior)
Waechter’s best day of his senior season came at home against Iowa State, he was in on 11 tackles and intercepted his first pass of his career during Nebraska's 24 point fourth quarter. Henry finished second in defensive end tackles with Tony Felici, 66 tackles. Henry finished his two year career with 113 tackles, 71 unassisted and 17 tackles for a loss of 107 yards. The Huskers finished the season with a 9-3 record and earned a berth in the national championship Orange Bowl against Miami. Lewis was also named to the All-American strength team.

1980 (Junior)
Henry was a part time starter. Sharing the right tackle spot with Toby Williams. He finished with 47 tackles, including 30 unassisted, 10 stops behind the line for a loss of 77 yards and one fumble recovery. His best game came against Florida State, when he had 10 stops, including four unassisted and one tackle behind the line for a loss of five yards. He also had good games against Kansas, Iowa State and Oklahoma when he recovered a fumble. Henry had a solid Sun Bowl, finishing with six unassisted tackles, helping the Huskers to a 31-17 win over Mississippi State.  

1979 (Redshirt Transfer)
Henry redshirted his first year as a Husker. 

1978 (Waldorf Junior College)
Under Coach Dave Bolstroff, he earned Junior College All-American honors. 

Western Dubuque High School (Epworth, Iowa)
As a senior in high school, Waechter earned All-Conference honors as a defensive tackle and tight end. Henry’s younger brother Kevin transferred to Nebraska during the 1981 season from Waldorf and was also a defensive tackle. Henry is the son of Carl and Vivian Waechter.
