1966 (Senior)
Led the Cornhuskers in rushing for the second straight year with 635 yards and a 4.6 average. Unanimous All-Big Eight selection and All American. Wilson played 138 snaps for the Huskers and scored four times for them. Wilson would help Nebraska add another Big Eight crown in 1966, finishing with a 9-2 mark after falling to Alabama in the 1967 Sugar Bowl. The Huskers finished with a final No. 6 national ranking. Wilson also had 226 kickoff return yards on 11 attempts.
1965 (Junior)
Led the Huskers in rushing yards with 672 and 5.6 average. In the four toughest games of the year, he averaged 106.5 yards per game. (106 vs. Oklahoma; 97 vs. Air Force; 95 vs. Oklahoma state; 74 vs. Missouri). Logged an immaculate 66-yard run to put NU ahead of the Sooners after the Huskers spotted OU a 9-0 lead. Wilson helped the Huskers to a 10-1 overall record, a Big Eight title and a trip to the 1966 Orange Bowl against Bear Bryant's Alabama squad. NU fell 39-28 to the Crimson Tide, but finished the season ranked No. 3 in the final national polls. During the game Wilson had five carries for 18 yards.
1964 (Sophomore)
Wilson was the fourth rushing option behind a loaded Nebraska backfield. Even with his limited time at halfback for the Huskers, Wilson was able to rush the ball 60 times for 303 yards and two touchdowns. Harry would also catch 11 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown as well. Wilson was a part of the Nebraska rushing offense that averaged 226.5 yards per game.
1963 (Freshman)
Harry Wilson played on the freshman team at NU. Playing at the halfback position for most of the time with Kaye Carstens.
Personal
Son of Louis Allers, Harry Wilson was born on Sept. 28, 1944, in Steubenville, Ohio. Wilson enrolled at NU as an education major. Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 3rd round. Playing three seasons for the eagles before ending his playing career.
