Guy Rozier Season 1985

1985 (Senior)
Rozier went into his senior year listed as Nebraska’s No. 3 monster behind Brian Washington and Jeff Tomjack despite this Guy still appeared in all 11 games as a senior. He finished the season with 6 tackles, 4 unassisted. Along with one pass break up and one interception against Kansas to help the Huskers defeat the Jayhawks in blow out fashion (56-6). Guy helped the Huskers to a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl against Michigan.

1984 (Junior)
Rozier did not appear in any games as a junior. Nebraska finished the season with a 10-2 record and a Sugar Bowl win against LSU, 28-10.

1983 (Sophomore)
Guy switched to monster and lettered as a valuable reserve and special teams player for the varsity in 1983 when he older brother, Mike won the Heisman Trophy after rushing for 2,148 yards and 29 touchdowns in one season. The highlight in Guy's season came in Nebraska's 67-13 win over Kansas when he blocked a Kansas punt which teammate Dan Casterline picked up and returned for a touchdown. Guy finished with three unassisted tackles, plus one in the Orange Bowl against Miami. 

1982 (Redshirt)
Rozier redshirted his second season. 

1981 (Freshman)
Guy started at left cornerback for the 5-0 Husker freshman team that only allowed 15 points all season. 

Camden Wilson High School (Camden, N.J.)
Guy was all-conference in both football and baseball where he played defensive back, quarterback and halfback for Coach Harold Hill. 

Personal
Guy was a speech communications major and is the son of Beatrice and Garrison Rozier. Guy is the younger brother of Mike Rozier who won the 1983 Heisman Trophy at Nebraska.
