1979 (Senior)
Gordon was listed as the Huskers No. 3 left defensive end and finished the season with two unassisted tackles. He helped Nebraska to a 10-2 finish and a Cotton Bowl appearance against Houston in 1979.
Gordon finished his career with seven tackles, four of those being unassisted.
1978 (Junior)
Gordon lettered as a reserve left defensive end. He finished with four tackles while seeing playing time against Indiana and Kansas where he saw 28 minutes of playing time. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.
1977 (Sophomore)
Thiessen was a non-letterman as a sophomore, finishing the season with one unassisted tackle. He helped the Huskers finish with a 9-3 record and a Liberty Bowl win against North Carolina, 21-17.
1976 (Redshirt)
Gordon redshirted the second season as a Husker.
1975 (Freshman)
Thiessen played with the unbeaten 1975 freshman team.
Lincoln East High School
Gordon was a standout high school player at Lincoln East under former Husker star Lee Zentic. Gordon was in Arts and Science College and is the son of Mrs. Betty Thiesen.
