1980 (Senior)
Gary lettered as the Huskers No. 2 right guard behind Joe Adams. Nebraska finished the season with a Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State (31-17).
1979 (Junior)
Gary earned his first varsity letter in 1979, but as an offensive tackle. Gary played behind Mark Goodspeed. England switched to guard during the spring of 1980. Nebraska finished the season with a 10-2 record and an appearance in the Cotton Bowl against Houston.
1978 (Sophomore)
As a sophomore in ‘78, he was a recess with the varsity. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.
1977 (Redshirt)
Gary redshirted his second season as Nebraska.
1976 (Freshman)
Gary played with the 1976 Nebraska freshman team. Gary played as a defensive end.
Skyline High School (Salt Lake City, Utah)
Gary earned all-state football honors as an offensive and defensive tackle under Coach Ken Schmidt. Gary also lettered in wrestling, track and baseball. Gary was a marketing and management major in business college. He is the son of Leonard and Mary England.
