2007 (Senior)
Frantz Hardy provided Nebraska with a big-play receiving threat in his three years in Lincoln. The 6-1, 190-pound Hardy was a regular in the Nebraska receiving rotation all three seasons and used his speed to emerge as a deep threat.

The three-year letterman averaged 18.0 yards per catch, while his 54 career receptions placed him 25th on the NU career chart. Hardy's 971 receiving yards ranked 18th in school history at the conclusion of his career. Hardy’s big-play ability allowed him to produce two of the top five single-game receiving efforts in school history, and five career receptions of 55 yards or more.

In all, Hardy appeared in 38 games with four starts for the Huskers, closing his career with 54 catches for 971 yards and seven touchdowns.

In 2007, Hardy played in all 12 games with one start and helped Nebraska rewrite the school passing record book. Hardy finished the season with 15 catches for 305 yards, an average of 20.3 yards per catch. All three of Hardy’s season-high three catches against Kansas State went for touchdowns, tying a Husker single-game record. He had four other games with two catches each. Hardy had a season-long 60-yard catch against Iowa State and a 56-yarder at Texas. Hardy also rushed three times for 39 yards and had two kickoff returns for 48 yards.

2006 (Junior)
Hardy played in all 14 games and finished with 14 receptions for 317 yards. He also rushed three times for 14 yards and had three kickoff returns for 49 yards.

Hardy opened the year with two receptions for 24 yards against Louisiana Tech, then had a 14-yard touchdown catch against Nicholls State. He exploded against Kansas with three catches for 159 yards, the fourth-highest total in school history. Hardy had a 78-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give Nebraska a 24-7 lead. In the fourth quarter, Hardy hauled in a 75-yard touchdown to give the Huskers a 32-25 advantage. Teammate Terrence Nunn had a 75-yard touchdown in the game, marking the first time a Big 12 school had three touchdown passes of 75 yards or more in a game.

Hardy had a key 13-yard run on a double reverse on a fourth-quarter scoring drive against Texas. He added three receptions for 52 yards at Oklahoma State and also had 49 yards on kickoff returns against the Cowboys.

2005 (Sophomore)
Hardy played in all 12 games with three starts and his 25 receptions covered 349 yards, an average of 14.0 yards per catch. He had three receptions of 20 yards or more, including a team season-long 73-yard reception from Taylor in the opener against Maine. Hardy finished the game with seven catches for 152 yards, the most receiving yards ever in a Husker debut and the fifth-best single-game total in school history.

Hardy added four catches for 29 yards and his only touchdown, a four-yarder, against Wake Forest. He had two catches each against Pitt, Iowa State, Texas Tech and Baylor. Hardy capped the regular season with a 35-yard second-quarter reception at Colorado. The catch came on a 2nd-and-28 and put Nebraska in position for a field goal and a 20-3 lead. In the Alamo Bowl against Michigan, Hardy nabbed three catches for 27 yards.

Hardy was one of three players to join the Nebraska program from Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kan., in 2005. Hardy starred for Coach Troy Morrell in 2004, helping Butler County to the NJCAA championship game. Hardy led the 11-1 Grizzlies with 34 receptions for 820 yards and five touchdowns, earning him second-team junior college All-America honors. Hardy redshirted during his first season on the Butler County CC campus. He was listed as the nation’s No. 9 overall junior college prospect by Rivals.com, and third among receivers.

Hardy originally hails from Miami, Fla., where he attended Booker T. Washington High. As a prep player, he caught 42 passes for 710 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior. Hardy chose NU after also visiting Auburn, Kansas and South Florida.

Personal
Hardy is the son of Frank and Marie Carmelle Hardy and was born on Jan. 6, 1985. A sociology major, Hardy earned his degree from Nebraska in December of 2007. Hardy has volunteered his time on Nebraska’s hospital visits and as part of the Read to Succeed Book Drive.
