1977 (Senior)
Donnell started at full back in both 1976 and 1977. He finished the season with 74 rushing attempts for 351 yards and two touchdowns. His outstanding junior and senior seasons got him picked in the fourth round of the NFL Draft by the New York Jets (88th Overall). He helped the Huskers finish with a 9-3 record and a Liberty Bowl win against North Carolina, 21-17.

1976 (Junior)
As a junior, Donnell gained 520 yards, third best on the team, on 112 carries and one touchdown. Donnell was also solid in the receiving game, he caught seven passes for 35 yards and another touchdown. Dodie's best day came against Kansas State when he gained 91 yards on the ground. Donnell helped Nebraska finish the season with a 9-3-1 record and an Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl win over Texas Tech, 27-24.

1975 (Sophomore)
Dodie played behind Tony Davis in 1975, he finished the season with 26 rushing attempts for 94 yards, averaging 3.6 yards per carry. As a sophomore, Donnell helped the Huskers finish the season with a 10-2 record and a Fiesta Bowl appearance against Arizona State.

1974 (Freshman)
Dodie was a standout player on the Husker freshman team.

Hackensack High School
Dodie earned All-American football honors under Coach Mike Meillo. Dodie was enrolled in Arts and Science College and is the son of Lafayette and Elizabeth Donnell.
