Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Academic Honor Roll (2009)
2010 Outlook
Redshirt freshman Devin Paulsen enters his second season in the Nebraska program with hopes of earning playing time in a young but talented group of Husker linebackers. Sophomores Will Compton and Sean Fisher saw extensive time last season, but Paulsen fits into the group that will add depth at the position. The 6-2, 215-pound Paulsen joined the NU program as a walk-on from Lincoln Christian High School.
2009 (Redshirt)
Paulsen redshirted and worked on the NU scout team.
Before Nebraska (Lincoln Christian HS)
Paulsen posted impressive numbers for Coach Matt Farup at Lincoln Christian, helping the Crusaders to a Class C-2 state playoff berth. Paulsen accounted for about 120 tackles and two interceptions and also handled the quarterbacking duties. For his efforts, Paulsen was a Class C-2 all-state defender by the Lincoln Journal Star and an honorable-mention all-city pick by the publication.
Personal
Devin was born on Jan. 16, 1990, and he is the son of Lance and Nicki Paulsen. He has not declared a major, but was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Academic Honor Roll. Paulsen has volunteered his time with local hospital visits.
