1980 (Senior)
In 1980, Dan lettered as an alternate to Derrie Nelson, and started the Kansas State and Iowa State games when Nelson was injured. He finished with 12 tackles and two stops behind the line for a loss of six yards. He also earned Honorable Mention Academic All-Big Eight.
Dan saw playing time in the Sun Bowl against Mississippi State when he recorded one tackle, helping the Huskers to a 31-17 win and a 10-2 record overall.
1979 (Junior)
As a junior in 1979, he lettered behind starter Lawrence Cole on the left side. He started the Kansas State game and had 15 tackles including seven unassisted and one pass interception on the season. Dan helped Nebraska to a Cotton Bowl appearance against Houston and a 10-2 record.
1978 (Sophomore)
In 1978 as a sophomore letterman behind All American George Andrews, Lindstrom had 14 tackles. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.
1977 (Redshirt)
Dan redshirted his second season as a Husker.
1976 (Freshman)
Dan was a walk-on and was a star with the 1976 Husker freshman team.
Oakland-Craig High School
Dan was a multi-sport athlete under Coach Clarence Gorache, he earned all-conference honors in football at tight end and defensive end for three years in a row. He also was a two year all conference basketball player. He was an Agricultural major and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lindstrom.
