Dan Hill Season 1982

1982 (Senior)
Dan was a talented athlete who spent his career playing behind Jamie Williams and Mitch Krenk. The trio gave the Huskers three solid senior tight ends. As a senior Dan earned his first varsity letter and caught his only career reception that was a 19-yarder that set up the Huskers' fifth touchdown in a 41-7 romp at Auburn. 

1981 (Junior)
Hill played as a reserve but did not letter, but he had a standout spring game when he caught two passes for 27 yards. Nebraska finished the season with a 9-3 record and an appearance in the 1982 Orange Bowl-National Championship game against Clemson. 

1980 (Sophomore)
Hill was a reserve tight end as a sophomore. Nebraska finished the 1980 season with a 10-2 record and a 31-17 Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State.

1979 (Redshirt)
Dan redshirted his second season as a Husker.

1978 (Freshman)
Hill was a starter for the 1978 freshman team and caught two passes for 18 yards for that undefeated squad. 

Sacred Heart Memorial High School (Falls City, Neb.)
Dan was a two-time all-state performer for Coach Lonnie Ford. Dan was a business administration major and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Hill.
