1981 (Senior)
Curt was a part-time starter as a senior, splitting time in 1981 with Jeff Merrel after starting every game as a junior. Curt finished the season with 28 tackles, 14 unassisted and he recovered one fumble. The Huskers finished the season with a 9-3 record and earned a berth in the national championship Orange Bowl against Miami.

1980 (Junior)
Curt started his junior year at middle guard for the Huskers. Curt finished with 44 tackles, including 30 unassisted and six stops behind the line for a loss of 37 yards. He had his best effort in 1980 against Florida State, when he was credited with eight tackles, including seven unassisted and three stops behind the line for a loss of 14 yards. Nebraska finished the season with a Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State (31-17). 

1979 (Sophomore)
Hineline was a sophomore reserve letterman behind senior Kerry Weinmaster and Oudious Lee. Curt recorded seven tackles, four unassisted and had two stops behind the line for a loss of 15 yards. 

1978 (Redshirt)
Curt redshirted his second season as a Husker. 

1977 (Freshman)
Curt spent time with the varsity in 1977, recovering a fumble against Kansas, He recorded one assisted tackle

Interlake High School (Bellevue,Washington)
Curt played defensive end, offensive guard, tackle and linebacker for Coach Rollie Robins. He earned All State and All Conference honors and was captain of the team. Curt also played baseball where he was All Conference and again captain of the team. He is the son of Leland and Mary Hineline.
