1987 (Senior)
Schnitzler was the Huskers No. three punter. He played in three games as a senior making 100% of his PAT attempts (2-2). He helped the Big Red to a 10-2 overall record and a trip to the 1988 Fiesta Bowl against Florida State.
1986 (Junior)
Schnitzler only had one opportunity to kick during the 1986 season, kicking behind All-Big Eight performer Dale Klein, which he seized going 1-1 on PATs.
1985 (Sophomore)
Schnitzler went into the 1985 season as the No. 2 place kicker behind Dale Klein, when Klein faltered in the opener against Florida State, Schnitzler came in and made 7-7 PATs and made a 35- yard FG before missing a 39 yard FG. The following week a persistent charley horse in his thigh kept him from kicking the rest of the season. His older brother, Robb, who started at split end caught a TD pass against Illinois, making the Schnitzlers the first brother combination known to have scored in the same game for Nebraska.

Schnitzler redshirted his second season as a Husker
1983 (Freshman)
As a walkon, Schnitzler was the top punter and place kicker for the 5-0 freshman team, averaging 34.9 yards per punt on 14 punts with a long of 58 yards. During the season he made 12 of 14 PATs.
Personal
Graig was a recreation major. He is the son of Robert and Lorraine Schnitzler. He has four sisters and a brother, Robb.
