Honors and Awards
Member of Nebraska’s 1994 National Championship Team
1994 (Sophomore)
Chad Brouse was a member of Nebraska’s 1994 national championship after defeating Miami 24-17 in the 1995 Federal Express Orange Bowl. Brouse did not letter in his two years on the Husker roster at free safety.
1993 (Freshman)
A walk-on to the Nebraska program, Brouse worked as a scout team free safety as a true freshman in 1993.
Lincoln East High School
Brouse served as a team captain at Lincoln East as a senior in 1992 alongside Husker defensive back Eric Stokes, who set the school’s career rushing record with Brouse in the offensive backfield. Brouse earned all-conference honors as a senior while ranking third in the state with more than 100 tackles for the Spartans.
