Brian Pokorny Season 1985

1985 (Senior)
As a senior, Pokorny appeared in four games and recorded one unassisted tackle. He also recorded an interception, picking off Kansas State quarterback John Welch during Nebraska's 41-3 rout of the Wildcats. Pokorny helped the Huskers to a 9-3 record and an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl against Michigan. 

1984 (Junior)
Pokorny did not see any action as a junior. Nebraska finished the season with a 10-2 record and a Sugar Bowl win against LSU, 28-10.

1983 (Sophomore)
Brian lettered as a reserve left cornerback behind Neil Harris and Todd Fisher. Pokorny recorded one unassisted tackle, helping the Huskers to a 12-1 record and an appearance in the Orange Bowl- National Championship game against Miami. 

1982 (Redshirt)
Pokorny redshirted his second season as a Husker. 

1981 (Freshman)
Brian came to Nebraska without a scholarship in 1981, and was a reserve cornerback on the 5-0 Husker freshman team which only allowed 15 points all season. 

David City Aquinas High School
Pokorny was an all-conference I-back and a fine cornerback for Coach Dave McMahon, he also lettered in track all four years. 

Personal
Pokorny majored in business management and is the son of Lawrence and Jean Pokorny.
