1977 (Senior)
Brett was the first Husker drafted in the 1978 Draft, He was tabbed by Tampa Bay in the second round. He was the offensive line starter of the Liberty Bowl. Brett helped the Huskers average 302.5 rushing yards per game and 415.4 total yards per game, which ranked second and first in the Big Eight, respectively. He helped the Huskers finish with a 9-3 record and a Liberty Bowl win against North Carolina, 21-17.

1976 (Transfer)
Brett sat out the 1976 season after transferring and learned the Husker system. 

1974-75 (Army)
Brett was a starter under Coach Homer Smith. 

Osmond High School
Moritz was a standout football, basketball and track athlete at Osmond High School under coach Jim Gray. Brett was an economics major and is the son of F. Glenn and Betti Moritz.
