- 1983 Academic All-Big Eight
1983 (Senior)
Brad was a solid backup to All-Big Eight center Mark Traynowicz, Muehling earned his second varsity letter. He earned Academic All-Big Eight during the 1983 season. Nebraska finished the season with a 12-1 record and an appearance in the National-Championship Orange Bowl against Miami.
1982 (Junior)
Brad earned his first varsity letter as a junior reserve. Muehling helped the 1982 Huskers to lead the nation in rushing, total offense and scoring
1981 (Sophomore)
Brad was a non-letter reserve.
1980 (Redshirt)
Brad redshirted his second season at Nebraska. The Huskers finished the 1980 season with a 10-2 record and a 31-17 Sun Bowl win against Mississippi State.
1979 (Freshman)
Brad was a walkon and played for the undefeated freshman team.
Lincoln Southeast High School
Muehling was all-city, all-state at Lincoln Southeast for Coach Frank Solich. He was high school teammates with Nebraska quarterback Craig Sundberg and defensive end Bill Weber.
