1986 (Senior)
Johnson lettered for the second straight year. He helped lead the Huskers to the 1987 USF&G Sugar Bowl, where Nebraska defeated LSU, 30-15. The Huskers finished the season ranked second nationally in rushing offense, averaging 305.5 yards per game, and third in scoring with 37.8 points per contest.

1985 (Junior)
Johnson lettered as a receiver right guard in 1985. He helped power the Huskers to their fourth NCAA rushing title in the previous six years, averaging 374.3 rushing yards per game. Nebraska finished with a 9-3 record and earned a berth in the Sunkist Fiesta Bowl against Michigan, averaging 472.5 total yards and 36.2 points per game.

1984 (Sophomore)
Johnson was a non letter winner during his sophomore season. Nebraska finished with a 10-2 record and defeated LSU, 28-10, in the Sugar Bowl. The Huskers averaged 427.5 yards of total offense and 32.6 points per game.

1983 (Redshirt)
Johnson redshirted in his second season at Nebraska.

1982 (Freshman)
Brad started for the 5-0 freshman team. 

Ralston High School
A recruit from suburban Omaha, Johnson played offensive line for Coach John Osborn at Ralston where he also lettered in track. Brad is the son of Dwight and Karen Johnson, Brad was born in January of 1964, in Omaha Nebraska.
